EXTRA CRISPY SWEET POTATO WEDGES
Golden, crunchy, and crisp sweet potato wedges are easy to make at home!


on the subject of actual meals, our weekday menu is not anything fancy. most nights I’m so exhausted from baking all day I just need to plop down on the couch, turn on the tube, and order take-out. maximum nights I combat that urge. My mystery weapon? tried-and-real recipes, toddler. There’s not anything greater comforting than cooking a recipe you recognize just like the lower back of your hand.


in relation to candy potatoes, I’m a die-tough fan. sweet potato fritters, croquettes, pancakes, fries, cakes, and quesadillas make me happy and hungry. last week i used to be making those burgers for dinner and desired an interesting facet that became healthy and hearty. My brain right away determined upon sweet potato fries, but as i was cutting the potatoes I made a break up decision and reduce them into thick wedges, instead.

Substances
  • 2 massive sweet potatoes, peeled (or unpeeled, if you like skin) and cut into wedges
  • 2 half tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • half of teaspoon black pepper


Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees (F). Line a massive baking sheet with tinfoil (shiny side up); area baking rack onto prepared baking sheet; set aside.
  2. Peel the sweet potatoes (if desired) and cut off the pointy ends. Slice the sweet potatoes in half of (lengthwise), then cut every piece into wedges.
  3. location the candy potato wedges in a large bowl, then add inside the olive oil, salt, sugar, seasoning, and black pepper. mix nicely, ensuring every wedge is covered with oil and spices.
  4. set up the candy potato wedges in a unmarried layer at the organized baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes, then activate the broiler and bake for some other 3-5 mins, or until they are nicely browned and crispy. hold an eye fixed right here - it is clean to burn when the broiler is on!
  5. Cool wedges on pan for five mins, then serve at once!
