I’m usually looking for a laugh fresh approaches to combine my favored flavors into new donut creations. In reality, you may recall I made tremendous easy Cinnamon Bun Donuts in early January and proclaimed my purpose of 2015 was to make as many donuts as feasible. to this point I’ve made Double Chocolate Cake Donuts, Lemon Poppy Seed Donuts, Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Donuts, Black and White Confetti Donuts, Vanilla Frosted Funfetti Donuts, and a personal favored – Pineapple Upside-Down Donuts. so that’s 9 recipes in 6 months… not terrible, right?
Which brings us to our 9th donut recipe of the 12 months: Strawberries and Cream Donuts. if you’re analyzing this in actual time – glad country wide Donut Day to you! clearly we’re celebrating this scrumptious vacation with dozens and dozens of donuts – duh. And this amusing and fruity taste is a brand new favored!
Substances
- For the Strawberries and Cream Donuts:
- 1 cup + 2 tablespoons all-reason baking flour
- half of cup granulated sugar
- half teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- half of cup complete-fat sour cream
- 2 half tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 big egg, at room temperature
- 1/3 cup freeze dried strawberries, gently crushed
- For the Strawberry Frosting:
- 2-three tablespoons heavy cream (more if wanted)
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar, sifted
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/four cup freeze dried strawberries, overwhelmed or pulsed into berry dust (examine notes in weblog post for extra on this)
Instructions
- For the Strawberries and Cream Donuts:
- Preheat oven to 350 ranges (F). lightly grease a doughnut pan; set apart.

- as soon as the donuts have cooled completely, spread the frosting over the tops of each and decorate with more dried berries if favored.
